The London Society is pleased to reveal the winners of the 2025 Love Letters to London writing competition. The winners were announced as part of a special ceremony at the OBE Chapel in St Paul’s Cathedral. This year, we received over 800 submissions—our highest number yet. The quality of writing was outstanding, with powerful and imaginative poetry and prose that explored the city’s past, present, and future, as well as personal experiences and reflections on life in London.

Writers of all ages contributed unique perspectives, covering everything from first dates and motorways to quiet moments in the city. Every entry reflected a deep connection to London.
