Join Jackie Weller, Royal College of Surgeons, and Morag Morrison, HawkinsBrown to discover the world-class headquarters for the Royal College of Surgeons.

HawkinsBrown’s newly extended and refurbished headquarters of the RCS encompasses the restoration of a Grade II* listed historic building, the creation of new-build accommodation for the College, and the re-launch of one of the most significant private museum collections in the UK, to create a new, public facing home for surgical excellence in Britain.
The approach was respectfully radical: refurbishing the surviving parts of the historic building, and completely removing the no longer fit-for-purpose, post-war construction, separating it from the neighbouring building.
The design celebrates the joining of the old and new, and makes clear the threshold between them, representative of the institution itself and its vision for the future of surgery.
