IN PERSON | Should London Be Bigger?

The boundary of Greater London was established in 1965. Has it gone way out of date? Should it be enlarged to take the Home Counties, which are already full of London workers? Would a Greater Greater London, with it more powers for the Mayor over more territory, strengthen the economy of South East England as a whole and make it easier to solve big problems with transport, housing and poverty?

Our varied panel to discuss this radical idea will include:
Dr Jack Brown, lecturer in London Studies, King’s College, and author of The London Problem;
Liz Peace CBE, former Chief Executive of the British Property Federation and current chair of the Old Oak and Park Royal Development CorporationAndrew Boff AM, former leader of Hillingdon Council, aspiring Conservative candidate for Mayor of London; and Russell Curtis, Founding Director RCKa and a Mayor’s Design Advocate.

The event will be chaired by Dave Hill, London Society trustee and publisher and editor of the website OnLondon.co.uk
