We’re delighted to offer London Society members an exclusive opportunity to go behind the scenes at the London Air Ambulance base in Whitechapel — a rare chance to visit the home of one of the capital’s most vital emergency services.
Operating from the helipad atop The Royal London Hospital, the London Air Ambulance team delivers life-saving care across the city — reaching patients in critical condition within minutes. On this limited-access tour, you’ll learn about the logistics of trauma response, the evolution of emergency medical services in London, and how the team navigates the city by air and road.
You’ll will hear first-hand stories of missions across the capital, and understand more about the unique challenges of delivering advanced medical care in one of the world’s most complex urban environments.
Places for this tour are extremely limited due to the operational nature of the site, and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a unique chance to see inside an extraordinary part of London’s emergency infrastructure.
