The London Society invites you to join a discussion on one of the capital’s most overlooked questions: What role should housing play in the City of London?
Historically, the City has prioritised business and finance, with housing seen as incompatible with the commercial needs of the Square Mile. But with London under pressure to deliver 880,000 new homes in the next 10 years, is it time to revisit this approach?
This timely event explores two key questions:
- What is the plan for integrating housing into the Square Mile?
- What is the current state of social housing in the City?
Should the City continue to resist residential growth, or does it have a civic responsibility to help solve the capital’s housing crisis?
Join us for this important conversation about the role of the City in housing Londoners.
