TALK | Writing London

What makes ‘great’ writing about London?

The London Society has brought together authors, publishers, journalists and bloggers to debate the peculiar qualities necessary to write about the capital.

Join author Tom Bolton (London’s Lost Rivers), publisher Andrew Humphreys (Paradise Road), architectural critic and former Architectural Review editor Catherine Slessor, and journalist/blogger Rachel Holdsworth (Londonist, CityMetric) as they discuss their own approaches to writing on the city and give examples of writers they admire.

Whether you’re a reader or an aspirant author or a regular blogger, you’ll find much to learn and to think about from the evening’s discussion.

Chaired by London Society Editor Jessica Cargill Thompson.
