Fish Island Village is a new £125 million live-work neighbourhood, a joint venture by Peabody and Hill, currently taking shape in East London as part of the investment legacy of the London Olympics 2012. The development has been designed by three architecture practices - Haworth Tompkins, Lyndon Goode Architects and Pitman Tozer Architects - working in collaboration.

On completion in 2020 Phases 1 & 2 of Fish Island Village will provide 423 much-needed homes for Londoners along with low-cost studios and workspace for London’s emerging fashion businesses and other creative industries in the local community, managed by social enterprise The Trampery. The mix of facilities will establish Fish Island Village as a vibrant canalside neighbourhood as well as Europe’s largest fashion campus.

This London Society event will commence at Here East with a tour of The Trampery's recently opened vertical village of low-cost studios by founder Charles Armstrong. Following the visit to the Trampery on the Gantry (designed by Hawkins\Brown with WikiHouse) there will be a walk through Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to Fish Island Village and a tour of Fish Island Village by its three architects. Guests will have access to a private apartment in Pitman Tozer Architects’ Monier Road and Lyndon Goode Architects’ Lanterna and the ground floor spaces of Haworth Tompkins’ Neptune Wharf.
