Join The London Society for a rare opportunity to explore The London Tunnels, a vast underground network that has played a remarkable role in the capital’s history. Hidden below the busy streets of central London, these tunnels offer a fascinating glimpse into the city’s unseen infrastructure and the layers of history that continue to shape modern London.
London is often understood through its buildings, streets and public spaces. Yet much of what makes the city function sits out of sight. From transport and communications to wartime resilience and future innovation, underground infrastructure has helped London adapt and evolve for generations.
This tour offers a chance to step inside one of the city’s most intriguing hidden spaces and learn more about the stories, engineering and ambitions connected to it. As London continues to grow and change, understanding the infrastructure beneath our feet is just as important as understanding the buildings above ground.
Guests will be guided through the tunnels by the London Tunnels team, who will share the history of the site, its significance within London’s wider infrastructure network, and the vision for its future. The tour lasts approximately 75 minutes and includes access to areas not normally open to the public. All safety equipment will be provided.
