V-TOUR | A nest of gentle artists

What was it that inspired so many avant-garde artists to come to live in and around Belsize Park in the 1930s and 40s?

In this virtual tour Blue Badge Guide Anne-Marie Craven shall explore this part of northern and leafy London, look at some of the iconic buildings including Lawn Road flats and 2 Willow Road. But we shall also go back in time to visit a Priory built in 1883 dedicated to St Dominic with chapels and beautiful stained glass – one of the largest Roman Catholic churches in London and largely built from the generosity of a local lady Helen, Countess Tasker.
