In May and June we asked you to send in (or tweet or instagram) photographs that you felt best reflected our new motto of “valuing the past; looking to the future”.
We had a large number of great shots, many of which we have made into postcards, but after a free and frank exchange of views, the judges – who included the photographer, Grant Smith; Jessica Cargill Thompson editor of the Journal of the London Society; and Communication Design Parter at HTA, Lucy Smith – settled on three winners, Rob Wilkinson, Bruno Romitelli and Mark Caldon.
At the Society’s summer party, it was Rob Wilkinson’s picture of the DLR that garnered the most votes from those attending.
All these shots (and some of the runners up) will go onto our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages very shortly.
