We’re pleased to announce that after the great success of last year’s competition, we’re again asking for your ‘Love Letters to London’.

The competition is still free to enter, and this year there are over ÂŁ4000 of prizes.

So dust off your keyboard, refill your fountain pen or sharpen your pencils, and help us celebrate this wonderful, fantastic, infuriating city in prose or poetry.

The theme this year is making connections

You can write on any aspect of London’s past, present or future. We are open to all forms and styles. It might be reportage, an historical essay, a ‘think piece’, a spot of futurology, a work of fiction, a poem.

You can read all of the winning entries from last year here

‘How to Enter’ and full rules can be found here (and you can download them here).

The closing date is 30 November, so get writing!
