Thanks to the hundreds of you that have already entered The London Society’s “Love Letters to London” competition. We’ve received entries from every continent, from across the UK, from schools and colleges in London boroughs to the east, west, north and south. There is poetry and fiction, journalism and reminiscence; we’ve spotted some famous names in the entries, and the youngest contributor is just eleven years old. Thank you all for taking part.

For those of you who couldn’t quite meet the deadline, we’re extending the final time for entries to noon on Monday 6 December. Anything received after that will not be considered. Full details here.

So dig out those half-finished stories, those poems lacking the final stanza, the thoughts that need a last polish and get them in to us before next Monday at 12:00. Let’s see if we can get to a thousand entries!
