We’re delighted to introduce Jay Allan, one of the newest members of our Board of Trustees.
Jay is a strategic communications leader with over a decade of experience shaping London’s places through public relations, corporate communications and inclusive engagement. As a Director at Kanda, he works at the heart of the built environment sector, helping organisations navigate complex planning and political landscapes while ensuring communities have a genuine voice in shaping their city.
Throughout his career, Jay has focused on making development more accessible and meaningful, from designing creative engagement campaigns to delivering high-profile media strategies that put destinations on the map. He is particularly passionate about diversity and inclusion, and has led initiatives to broaden participation, amplify under-represented voices and engage younger audiences in conversations about London’s future.
For Jay, joining The London Society is about giving back to a city he cares deeply about, at a time when constructive dialogue about London’s future matters more than ever. The Society’s ethos of “valuing the past; looking to the future” strongly resonates with him,  a reminder that while we are a 110-year-old institution, we must continue to evolve.
As a trustee, Jay is keen to bring fresh ideas and perspectives to complement the fantastic work already underway. His focus will be on helping the Society grow its reach among younger and more diverse Londoners, ensuring it remains a vibrant, inclusive forum for everyone who calls London home.
