This conference and walking tour organised by NLA (New London Architecture) will look at the challenges and opportunities facing London’s West End.
The West End accounts for 3% of the UK’s overall economic output and has a projected growth of up to 10 million people in the next fifteen years. This additional economic activity will put unprecedented pressure on infrastructure, the public realm and the commercial offer that makes this piece of city so unique. What is the strategic vision for ensuring The West End continues to compete on a global stage?
Ahead of Crossrail and the much debated pedestrianisation of Oxford Street, Council Leader Philippa Roe will be joined by The Crown Estate, Transport for London, Grosvenor and other stakeholders to discuss the future of The West End.
The event takes place on 13 October and you can find full details and booking information here.
